We have now officially finished the webinar season, and what a year it’s been!
This year has been a huge success; we’ve had 18 webinar sessions since October with almost 3000 teachers connected throughout the year. Even more importantly, the Professional Development team celebrated 5 years of webinars with the first ever Oxford Webinar Day.
To recap the webinars of the past 8 months, check out this infographic for some of this year’s highlights.
What do you think of the infographic? Have you ever used infographics in the classroom?
Infographics are great tools for teachers and students. You can display and present content in a variety of ways through graphs, images, mind maps, videos and external links. What’s particularly useful about infographics is that they can be used to summarise ideas and show key concepts without going into too much detail, plus they can be used for any topic.
Online you’ll find a plethora of apps and webpages to design your own infographics. The image in this post was created using Piktochart, but there are many other sites such as Genial.ly, Easel.ly, and Canva. All of these programs are free to use, but you will need to create an account to access them. They are easy to use and offer a mix of templates to work from. Once completed you can then download them as an image or share them online.
We hope we’ve inspired you to make your own infographic. Check back later this summer for more teaching ideas as well as information on upcoming webinars!
